Celebrating Our Veterinarians and YOU!

January 25, 2024

World Veterinary Day is April 27th, and one way we would like to celebrate is by recognizing our incredible veterinarians:

Dr. Roni Kloer
Owner/Veterinarian
Dr. Roni Kloer is now the practice owner, although she joined Garden Valley Veterinary Hospital in 2013. She earned her education at Colorado State University, first obtaining a biology undergraduate degree and later a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Kathryn Touran
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Kathryn Touran joined our Garden Valley team in 2010. Before that, she earned a Bachelor’s in Zoology at the University of Washington in Seattle and then her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Colorado State University-College of Veterinary Medicine and Biological Sciences.

Drs. Kloer and Touran both wished to be veterinarians from a young age, but they would agree that pets aren’t their only focus as veterinarians. That other focus is YOU, dear pet-owner. There has been an amazing amount of research done regarding the Pet Effect, a bond people form with their pets that expands past love and loyalty.

The Pet Effect has been proven to prevent cases of heart disease and certain allergies. It even helps alleviate symptoms of anxiety, stress and depression. When your pet is healthy, there is more joy, more love and more opportunity for the Pet Effect to enact its role in your mental and physical health. If you’re curious about the function and science behind your unique relationship with your pet, you can visit the articles linked in the previous paragraph or even give us a call at (970) 674-5105
